Within three days, Mr. and Mrs. Burnidge made me feel like one of the family, and that also goes for the people of your 80th birthday Curtis J. Armstrong was honored on his 80th birthday at the Lion House in Salt Lake City, Saturday, Jan. 18, 1986. T r, f ; ' 'j A representation of family and extended family members from Akron, Ohio, San Francisco and Fresno, Calif., Dallas, Texas, Denver, Colo., Salt Lake City, Provo, Kearns, Mt. Pleasant and Ephraim, Utah were present. About 55 in all attended. After convening on the floor, the Senators broke into their respective standing committees. I am a member of the Energy, Natural resources and Agriculture committee, Revenue and Taxation, and the Rules committee. As Majority Leader, I plan agendas and caucus meetings to bring attention to and adequately discuss the major items pressing the Senate body. Blake Associate Administrator Farmers Home Administration Curtis Armstrong Dinner was served, a family program presentation of music and tributes were presented to Curtis by family members and grandchildren. Another highlight was a card of congratulations from Pres. Ronald and Nancy Reagan. Curtis was born in Ephraim on Jan. 19, 1906 to John and Hilda Christensen Armstrong. He has lived his entire life in Ephraim. A successful rancher and sheepman, he was an active member in community and civic affairs. He has been an active member in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. He has been associated in the activities in bishoprics, in the auxiliaries, in the ward and stake. Sunday School presidencies. He filled a mission for 30 months to the Eastern Canadian Mission, where he served as District President of the New Brunswick District for a year or more.
