She is attending Snow summer school and plans to follow in the footsteps of her parents, Granger and Ruth Williams who each graduated from Snow College recently. She will attend Snow College on a scholarship in the fall. The highlight of the conference is our keynote speaker for Saturday afternoon. Ardeth G. Kapp, General President of the LDS Young Women, has agreed to address the conference group. Other activities to be held that day are the workshops which begin at 10 a.m. There are four Later meetings will be held in each excellent groups. All but 1 1 of the family members were present for the patio luncheon and musical program which followed. Mr. Stubbs was born July 3. 1906 and spent his early years in Provo. He moved with his parents to Gunnison when he was 10 years old and lived there until 1936 when he moved to Ephraim with his wife, the former Ruth Nelson of Manti and their four children: Ray, Glen, Grant and Norma. While in Gunnison Mr. Stubbs worked in Christensen's Store and after coming to Ephraim was manager of the Christensen store here until 1968 when he purchased the store and continued to manage it until several years ago when his grandson Grant Stubbs took over the management. Always interested in athletics, he was an ardent baseball fan and played with the town teams of Gunnison and Ephraim and coached his sons and grandsons in that area. school He also played high basketball in Gunnison. Guest lecturers from business and education will present meaningful and practical workshops geared for the life of a single adult.
