Show Mngr Social Scene In memory Obituaries Weddings Nita Nielson marries Daryl Smith Apr. 25 Eudora Nielson was in Salt Lake City last weekend for the wedding of her granddaughter, Nita Yvonne Nielson. She accompanied her daughter and Lorraine son-in-la- and Dale Ross and family of Cedar City. Nita who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jay C. Nielson recited wedding vows Saturday, April 25, 1987, with Daryl Jim Smith in the Salt Lake LDS temple. Daryl is the son of Jim Smith and Marlene McHaney. Following the temple ceremony the bride and groom were feted at a wedding breakfast at the home of an aunt. In the evening they greeted guests at a reception held in their honor at the Butler West Stake Center. Mrs. Nielson accompanied her granddaughter and husband, Lisa and Kyle Empey, of Cedar City, to Ephraim Sunday. Kristy Stock weds Sean Clark recently Kristy Stock became the bride of Sean Robert Gark in a ceremony performed by Bill Warren at the Spring City Cultural Hall, Saturday, April 18, 1987, in the presence of relatives and close friends. Kristy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Stock of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Dutton, Ephraim. Parents of the bridegroom are Bob and Wendy Gark, Ephraim. Following the ceremony the newlyweds were honored at a wedding dinner and greeted friends and relatives that evening at a reception in the Spring City Ward Cultural Hall. Standing in line with the bride and groom were bridesmaids: Toni Stock, Michelle Gark, Angela Jensen, Stephanie DeMille and Elise Mclnelly. Best men Jason Gark, Bret Hansen, Troy Goble, Duane DeMille and Kaylon Mclnelly. The new Mrs. Gark has attended schools in Mt. Pleasant, Manti and of . St. George. Sean has attended Manti Dorothy Scow Sorensen Funeral services for Dorothy Scow Sorensen, 77, who died on April 20, 1987, at the home of her daughter in West Valley City, Utah, were held in the Centerfield Ward Chapel on April 24, 1987. Interment was in the Centerfield City Cemetery. Mrs. Sorensen was born February 4, 1910 to James Conrad and Ann Linda Hendrickson Scow, in May-fielUtah. There she spent her girlhood years. She married Kenneth Sorensen, October 31, 1931 in Manti, Utah. They spent 42 beautiful years together. He preceded her in death October 26, 1973. Together they had three children, two of which are still living. She had three grandchildren. Dorothy was an active member of the Church. A member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Dorothy was loved for her sweet spirit and special warmth she had. She was known for her talent of creating beautiful handmade quilts. And the special welcome she gave to friends who came into her home. LDS Survivors include her daughters, Kenna Lee Sorensen, Susan Stainaker, both of West Valley City; grandchildren, Douglas, Kimberly and Angela Stainaker; four brothers, Ernest, Manti; Lloyd, Ephraim; Ivan, Mayfield; Arvon, Tempe, Ariz.; two sisters, Reva Reid, Orangeville; Rhoda Duval, Burbank, Calif. services for Nellie Bjeregaard Gribble, 88, who died in Logan, Utah on April 22, 1987, of causes incident to age, were held in the Logan Ninth LDS Ward Chapel on April 25, 1987. She weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz. Friday Forum Steven K. Jones, writer for the Church Education System of the LDS Church, will be the speaker at Friday Forum on May 1, 1987 at 12 noon at the LDS Institute. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harris, Ray and Ralph Bjerregaard. Card of Thanks We would like to express our thanks to the Ephraim City Fire Department for the handling the fire on our brooder coop on April 18th. The fire department arrived at the scene shortly after being notified and they fought the fire as professionals. We also would like to let all those who have been so thoughtful and kind, know of our deep appreciation for them. She married John William Gribble, June 1, 1920 in Richfield, Utah. He died August 26, 1973. She was a graduate of Snow College and taught school at Salina, Utah where she lived for more than 20 years. She also taught at Clinton, Utah. She had lived in Clearfield and has been a resident of Logan for the last 35 years. Taught piano lessons for more than 60 years. She was a member of the LDS Church and served for 37 years as the cultural refinement teacher in the Relief She also served as a Society. volunteer worker at the Sunshine Terrace since 1981. She received the Carnation Community Service Award in 1984 from Gov.
