Along with winning the championship the Lady Badgers will play host to the Region 18 tournament in Ephraim this weekend, May 4 and 5. W Thursday the Lady Badgers hosted the Lady Eagles of CEU and sent a message early to the Eagles that they were set on winningthe championship. The Lady Badgers opened up with three runs in the first followed with four runs in the second, and two in the third before CEU was able to get any runs of their own. Snow then opened the game up with eight runs in the fourth - 'O - iV i Jared Bills at bat for Snow College. Badger baseball team tied for first place The Badgers baseball team of Snow College are tied for first place, along with Dixie and Utah Valley. The baseball team is preparing for their last two weeks of conference play to determine the winning team. Snow hosted Utah Valley here on Thursday and split the double header, winning the first and losing the second game Kevin Quinn pitched game the first game. Saturday the Badgers took on the Eagles from College of Eastern Utah. Snow defeated them in both games and Gary Trowbridge was the winning pitcher in game one. JeffSlye won the second game. Manti High tennis team will play for spot in state tourney BY WILBUR BRAITHWAITE Region tennis action comes to a climax this Thursday at Park City when the qualifying tournament for state takes place. Favorites are Park City and Grantsville. Park City is favored to win the No. 1 singles. Rudy Stankevic, a foreign exchange student from Czechoslovakia is undefeated for the year. Grantsville appears to have more team depth than anyone. The state tournament will be held Ma 12, Saturday, at BYU.
