Show Erma Frandsen from Gunnison joined Ralph and June Lund and Hazel White on Monday, for a trip to Salt Lake City where they visited with Luane and Clarence Grandlen and spent the night with them before returninghomeTuesday. Beverly Mortensen was honored on her birthday anniversary January 19th at the home of a daughter and Gloria and Bill Vorkink in Orem. Other family members also met at the home for dinner and a program. A daughter, Sheron read some entries from Glorias journal for the entertainment of the family. Beverly received word this week that her grandson, Keith Vorkink, had suffered broken bones in his leg while he was playing basketball in a physical education class at BYU. He is reported to be recovering slowly and getting about on crutches. son-in-la- Blodwen Olsen was happy to have members of her family visit with her. They came for the wedding of Blodwens grandson, Chad Olson and Lorna Mickelsen on Friday evening. Roger and LaRue Johnson have enjoyed a visit with a grandson, Shaun Huff of West Jordan the past week. He is the son of Jeannie Morris. Fern Jorgensen received this week that a Jody granddaughter, word Jorgensen, has now arrived in Moscow where she has been assigned as a missionary. Jody left for Russia on January 13th after being in the Missionary Training Center in Provo for the past two months. Jody is the daughter of Gerald and Peggy Jorgensen of Orem. Braithwaite Dorothy returned home last week after spending the past two months in California with a daughter and Jean and Stanley Terry. Dorothy and her husband Lucien went to California the first part of November. On November 15th Dorothy suffered a heart attack andspenteightdaysinahospital there. She has been recovering at her daughters home since that time. She reports that she is now doing well. Nielson and Margaret Allen were in West Valley City Thursday to visit at the home of Mary Sue and Douglas Willden and to get acquainted with Virginias new who had recently arrived at the Willden home. While there they were happy to visit with the babys grandmother, Kathryn Russell, who had been at the Willden home the past two weeks anticipating the babys arrival.
