Gunnison Sanpete Ranger District Sanpete County, Utah The Sanpete Ranger District of the Manti-LaSNational Forest is currently planning to do extensive maintenance on the Patton Trail which is listed on the Forest Travel Map as Trail No. 120. The trailhead is located 2.5 miles east of Manti, Utah in Sanpete County. The trial is a Forest Development Trail open to any snowmobile, all terrain vehicle (ATV), motorcycle or bicycle. The extensive maintenance proposed on the trail will include replacement of the existing bridge, improvement of the trail alignment and tread width, clearing and installation of erosion control structures. In addition, it is proposed to improve the access road from the main canyon road to a small parking area where an ATV ramp will be built along with a bulletin board for maps and information. If funds become available, a restroom is possible. The public is invited to provide comment on any issue or concern they may have about the proposal by June 6, 1994. Comments are welcome by telephone, in person, or in writing. For further information or to make comments, contact Don Okerlund, Sanpete Ranger District, 150 South Main, Ephraim, Utah 84627.
