Show Section 2 Used oil collection program to continue in Sanpete County Sanpete County is winning the praise of state officials more than a year after the start of a pilot pro- gram to have (DIYer) oil changers recycle their oil at sanctioned collection points. Sandy Hunt, Utahs Used Oil Program Environmental Specialist, told a steering committee June 15 the collection - begun simultaneously in Juab, Sanpete and Millard counties has been met with a positive response from the County, the program will continue with a renewed public awareness effort, beginning in late June on radio and in local newspapers. The word is spreading that used oil should be recycled rather than stored in large quantities or dumped on the ground, in waterways, or down sewers, I lunt said.
