Austin Christensen was recently awarded the Gene Robinson Scholarship at a banquet held at BYU on April 1. The Gene Robinson Award is a departmental scholarship in the Family Sciences. Austin is a graduate of Manti High School, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, and has completed all requirements for graduation at Snow College, where he has been named to the Deans List each quarter. Austin is the son of Rick and Julie Christensen of Manti. He plans to attend BYU in June. Austin Christensen Write a Letter to the Editor AREA MEETINGS Walk where the pioneers plan an inspiring vacation that will walked and feel of the spirit which lingers at those sacred sites. A trek to Martins Cove and Rock Creek, Wyoming, similar to the one which the stake youth took last summer, is being organized by the Manti Utah Stake to take place this summer. Last August, the stake youth conference was held at those historic monuments in Wyoming, where a truly inspiring handcart trek to Martins Cove was undertaken. So overwhelming was the spirit we felt and lifes lessons we learned, that many of the youth and leaders expressed a desire to return this summer with their families, said Scott Hintze, of the never be forgotten. You will have the opportunity to pull a handcart together and meet pioneers along the trail. You will hear inspiring stories of sacrifice, faith, commitment, heroism, sorrow and tri- Manti Utah Stake Presidency. We will again walk where the pioneers walked and feel of the spirit which lingers at these sacred sites, he said.
