Coach Braithwaite touches peoples lives in everything that he does. People came from all over to come and listen to Coach Braithwaite speak at the dedication. Coach Braithwaite has accepted many awards in his lifetime. He asked Jim Braithwaite not to mention any of them in his speech( he also asked him not to talk about his driving.) Coach Braithwaite expressed his appreciation to his wife, Jane for all that she does for him. He gave an excellent talk. It all came to a close with the singing of the school song. Coach Braithwaite directed the band while the cheerleaders directed the crowd. For those of you w ho did not attend, you really missed out Coach wilbur Braithwaite says a few remarks Unveiling of the mascot By: Ashley Johnson There is a new edition to our school He is about 3 feet tall and tough as bronze! The unveiling of our schools Mascot took place last Friday afternoon in the commons. An open house means being honest, loyal and trustworthy. As I walk into school everyday the Mascot reminds me who I am and what 1 stand for. We should always take care of it the best we know how. Mr. Peterson said Its a nice edition to our school and I would hope that ifyou ever saw another student hurting it in anyway, that you would protect it A lot of hard work w ent into making this Mascot, Ms. Mansfield spent countless hours creating him. She w as the artist and sculpture, Danny Bown and Sons were the Stone Masons and Glen Larsen was the Major Contribu- was held a few minutes before the program started so die public could come in and look at the new editions to o it school. Prelude music was played by our very own orchestra and refreshments were served by NHS. As the program came to a start, the TNT Chorus sang The Red and White Song written by Wilbur T. Then Coach Jackson read a tribute to Miss Mansfield and thanked her for all the hard work she had put into making our new mascot. The moment everyone had been waiting for came next A few drill team members unveiled our beautiful tor. We all need to be sure to thank Ms. Bambi Mansfield poses with our new mascot Our mascot the Templar stands for so many great things. Being a Templar Mansfield and let her know how much we appreciate what she did for our school. When you see die Mascot think about w ho you are. You are strong. You are loyal. You are trustworthy. You are a Manti High School Templar! |
