Horizon Optical is managed by Robert Hansen, a Layton resident. According to Hansen, Horizon Optical will be able to fill a prescription for lenses, and supplies a large selection of frames. He also said that the new business will do a lot of work in the area of cataract lenses. Hansen, who is originally from Wisconsin, has been involved with the optical field for more than eight years as an optical dispenser. He recently graduated from Weber State College where he received his masters degree in zoology and chemistry. He lives at 861 E. 300 N. in Layton with his wife Susan and their four children. The shop is located at 746 S. Main in Layton. McDonald's Grand Opening Will Continue This Week The grand opening of the McDonalds in Layton is continuing this week with a special day of fun and activities for the family, Saturday. The celebration Saturday will feature surprises, gifts and balloons for children, advertising agent for McDonalds, Mark Young said.
