They named Robert K. Bowman who i I I teaches U.S. History and one section of eighth grade language arts. Among the qualities listed by his students, Bowman's sense of humor stands out. "He always has control of his class and keeps his cool. Mr. Bowman is a strict, firm teacher, but friendly and nice to his students, one said. The students like "his funny names for erasers and rulers and the way he tells jokes and stories as a different way to teach. He makes history interesting and easy to understand and has a unique way of taking notes. A native of Kaysville, Bowman lives there with his wife, the former Karen Evans of Bountiful, and their five children: Bonnie Kay, 15; Brad 13; Marc 12; Troy 9; and Shawnalyn 3. To supplement his teachers salary he works at the Kaysville Bishops Storehouse. In spare moments he reads extensively over a wide range of subjects.
