Local Women Help SUSC T4 All Makes Bruce Bishop of Woods Cross had 9 points and 7 defensive rebounds while teammate Richard Johnson rounded out the top three with 8 points and 5 rebounds. One of the major problems for the Cats was the free throw line. They were only able to put in 42. Ogden on the other hand was able to score at a rate of 86 from the foul line. The tigers leading scorer was Jones with 22 points, followed by Valar with 12 and Salma with 10 rounding out their, scorers who had double figures. Woods Cross came back in the third period but Ogden was able to stay just ahead with sharp passing and taking steals and turning them into scores. Play in the fourth period was a repeat of the third with the typical number of fouls and turnovers. Although Woods Cross put on a final minute charge it was too little, too late. With 20 seconds to go, the Wildcats came within 4 points, because of a line foul by the Tigers. The Wildcats were given another breath with a one and one, and after the miss Ogden turned up court for the final score in the the net. I kept hearing the crowd teU me to put the ball into the net and thats just what I did, said Linda. It got so bad the official had to warn the students to settle down or else she would forfiet the match to Southern Utah. In the final game again the strong serves by Michelle and Linda dominated the game. Michelle took over on the net and had five kills in that game alone. She also served 10 of the 15 points scored in the game. Michelles performance this season earned her all conference and all Disrict 7 teams honors. She good press in West Virgina and was noted for her strong back row play as well as her play at the net. Southern Utah won 4 and lost 2 in the national tournament to capture 4th place far better than there 10th place finish last year. Coach Peterson noted We played with a lot of confidence this year and that made a big difference. That gave us an edge. The team came together and really played as a team which helped put us into the the injuries to Lisa and Paula hurt us more than we could make up for. I feel the girls really showed a lot of poise on the court and we should be a strong contender for the crown next year. Southern Utah State only losses 2 girls to graduation both are starters one a setter and one a hitter. Lori McCurdy, (the hitter) recieved honors so she will be hard to replace. I watched the State Tournament and was impressed with alot of the Davis county girls I saw there. INDOOR COMFORT HUMIDIFICATION, ELECTRONIC HEATING, AIR CONDITIONING CLEANING, ' Are You A Hothead Or A Coldfoet? It's the time of year to discuss furnaces. But before we tell you about the new Payne furnaces, we'd like to discuss some types of people you encounter in homes that are ready for a new furnace system or have an improperly designed system. Let's call them "hotheads" and "coldfeets". Hotheads suffer from a heating distribution system that provides too much heat at times because the furnace itself is actually too large for the home: Or, improperly placed registers don't permit heat to reach areas where warmth is needed. As a consequence, because heat naturally rises, a layer of warmth forms in the upper half of a room. Anyone standing up feels warmth in the upper half of the room, but an inadequate supply of heat in the lower half. for hotheads is a Payne furnace installed by Rentmeister. With proper sizing of the Payne system of furnace, ductwork, and registers, just the right amount of heat is supplied to give a warm, toasty heat that eliminates those pools of hot air that settle under ceilings too. Coldfeets suffer from a similar problem, which originates from' a furnace that is too small and can't provide enough heat; or, from a distribution system that is improperly designed and will not allow heat to reach every room properly. Ductwork may also be undersized, and not enough heat can be "squeezed" through to every room. In this situation, the heat also rises and forms a cold layer of air in the lower half of the room. The solution for coldfeets is much the same. Again the answer is We recommend the Payne furnace because it is well proper sizing. known for its ability to give an even flow of heat that does away with hot and cold pools of air in rooms and helps eliminate drafts.
