Old age and facing death are rather popualr subjects in the cur- By KAREN WEBB Special to the lakeside Review Before the film On Golden Pond opens here later this year, Salt Lake area residents will have the rare opportunity to see this excellent play performed on the stage. Theatre 138 in Salt Lake City is one of a handful of American theatres that currently have the right to produce this play. It is the house to first and only be doing so at the moment. On Golden Pond will run through Dec. 19. Tickets are available at Theatre 138 box office. On Golden Pond is a warmhearted play with a serious theme. It deals with the subjects of age and death, and with how a disunited family can be brought together when these realities loom on the hangers of their lives. Ethel has been coming to Golden Pond since her childhood days the house belonged to her family and the house is populated with memorabilia from years long past.
