Show September 2001 Carbon and Emery County Sports Guide 13 Carbons strongest runners return for another season Some sports require skills and talents. Others require certain body types to be successful. Many sports require great conditioning. Cross country running re- quires all of the characteristics. The wear and tear on a body that traverses many miles, even at a paced speed, can be tremendous. The Carbon High cross country team is loaded with winners kids who have won and will continue to win due to their stamina -- and determination. It's going to be a tough region this year, said Stewart Foster, as- over last year. In the girls program, Melanie Madsen returns with her great skills and pace.
