Gilbert has been called to serve in the Barcelona Spain Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Elder Gar&n Ross Black has been called to 6erve in the Mexico, Mexico City East Mission for The Church of Jesus Saints. Christ of Latter-Da-y Elder Blacks farew ell will be held on Nov. 1 1, at 1 1:30 a.m. in the Price 7th Ward Chapel at 995 East 700 North. Elder Black is the son of Guy and Helen Black of Price. On Nov. 10, there will be an open house for family and friends from 8 p.m. at the Price 7th Ward. Elder Black will be leaving Latter- Saints. He is the son of Ken and Connie Gilbert of Huntington. His grandparents are Melvin and Joan Gilbert of Lawrence, and Iona Craner of Brigham City. Elder Gilbert will speak on Nov. 1 1 , on his dads birthday, at 11 a.m. in the Huntington 3rd Ward located in the Stake Center on Main Street. There will be a luncheon for family and friends at the Huntington Elementary Cafeteria. Elder Gilbert will enter the Missionary Training Center in Provo on Nov. 14, w here he will be for three weeks, then he will -Day 6-- for the Provo Missionary Training Center on Dec. 5. transfer to the Missionary Training Center in Spain for six weeks. Elder Olsen Elder Robert Olsen has been called to sene in the Utah Ogden Mission for the Church of Jesus BIRTHS Christ Thomas Carter Barrett Jefferson and Jessica Saints. of Latter-Da- y He will be speaking at sacrament meeting on Nov. 11 at 9 (Tay- a.m. at the Huntington First Ward located at 1 15 South 400 lor) Barrett announce the birth of their first child, Thomas Carter Barrett. He was born on Sept. 21, 2001 at the crack of dawn weighing 8Ibs 3 oz. and was 2 1 12 inches long. He was born at the Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George. He and his parents are currently living in Cedar City. Grandparents are Lynne Smith of Ferron, Dave Taylor of Emery, Sybil Bullock of Sandy and Vernon Barrett of Draper East Elder Olsen is the son of Craig and Jamie Olsen of Huntington. He will be entering the Missionary Training Center on Nov. 14. Rebecca Gordon Stanton M. Huntington Jesse and MarLayne Gordon of Elmo announce the marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Gordon, to Stanton M. Huntington, son of Ross and Adele Huntington of Castle Dale. They will be married on Nov. 9, in the Salt Lake Temple. A reception in their honor will be held at the Huntington Stake Center that same evening from 9 p.m. ; Stanton served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of -Day Saints in France and is now attending the University of Utah where he will graduate in May with a degree in economics. The couple will make their home in the Salt Lake City area where they will both be employed.
