Anderson has been called to serve an LDS mission in Hong Kong. He is the son of Mrs. Jenn Lydsman of Ogden. He has been residing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard W. Tew and family at 30 S. Steele, of Fruit Heights, has been called to the Canada, Calgary Mission. He will be honored at a. missionary farewell on Sunday, Nov. 27 at 3:30 p.m. in the Fruit Heights 5th Ward Chapel, 201 S. 600 E., Kaysville. ELDER STEELE is a graduate of Davis High School. He was a Sterling Scholar in the field of art and served in the studentbody. Active in scouting, he received the Duty to God, On My Honor and Eagle Scout awards. Elder Michael D. Moss has accepted a call to the Japan Kobe LDS Mission. He will enter the MTC on Dec. 8. Returns From Switzerland Miss Gayle Lee will return home Nov. 25 from serving an LDS mission to the Mission. For the past year, Elder Steele has been attending Weber State, where he was an honor student. HE HAS been employed at the Family Ranch in Idaho and is a competitive roper in the Golden Spike Rodeo, np imaintain electrical system and equipment, and earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of th4 Air Force. NLJH HONOR ORCHESTRA LAYTON Eight North Layton Junior High School students were selected by their instructor, Ralph Visser, to perform with the Davis County School District 1983 Select Orchestra. THESE MUSICIANS represented the outstanding orchestra students from North Layton. They performed Tuesday evening, Nov. 15 at Viewmont High School in Bountiful with the select orchestra students from 10 other junior high schools. About 100 students were included in the performing group. THOSE orchestra students chosen to represent North Layton in this activity included Eric Liknes, trombone; Gwen James, violin; Alyssa Bottomly, viola; Trina Bodily, violin; Curtis Call, tuba; Melanie Knighton, celoo;Gary Willhide, trumpet and Loretta Hart, bass. Music was given to the students three weeks ago.
