They spent 10 days in Southern California and also visited with re Kaysville News latives. Their two nephews joined him for the trip. She came to see her brother, Elder Robert Gerber prior to newing friendships. Wayne and Nancy Wasden of Okinawa arrived to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Gerber for a three week stay. Mr. Wasden came to Todd and Matthew Jensen turned to Utah with them for a short visit. While there Mrs. Jensen re- reunion attended a with her former BYU roommates. The six of them spent three days at Palm Springs, re- - his leaving on his mission to Johannesburg, South America. CARY D. GREEN Kaysville, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 6. Temple Wedding Exchanging nuptial vows on Friday, Aug. 19 in ceremonies performed in the Salt Lake LDS Temple were the former Charla Diane Cowles and Cary D. Green. Pres. Milton L. Christensen performed the ceremony. , THE BRIDE is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cowles of Beaumont, Calif. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene R. Green of 102 , ; E. Boynton Road, Kaysville. The couple was honored at a wedding breakfast at the Hotel Utah Jade Room following the ceremony hosted by the parents. That bridegrooms i : ; t evening they received guests at a garden reception at the LDS Rock Chapel in Kays- ville. THE BRIDE wore a gown of knit chiffon featuring a full- - high neckline, long sheer sleeves accented with re- embroidered Alecon lace and seed pearls down the sleeves and on the point of the wrist. Alexon lace and seed pearls were repeated ton the cape covering the 1 ? bodice. The skirt was th en-- : hanced with strips of reembroidered lace and seed pearls down the front with Venice lace circling the skirt hemline, and flowing along the train. Her veil fell from a crown of matching embroidered Alecon lace and seed pearls. THE BRIDAL bouquet was made up of pink carnations, maroon roses, white bridal veil flowers with pink and maroon ribbon streamers. Attending the bride were Darla Finch as maid of honor, and Mrs. Kip Jenkins as attending matron. They wore gowns of pink taffeta trimmed in white ribbon and lace. They each held a long stemmed rose with pink and maroon ribbons. full-leng- IN celebration of their anniversary, they took an eight day Caribbean cruise on the Norway. They sailed from Miami and made several stops along the way at the various islands in the Caribbean. They were accompanied by Cliff and Virginia Larkins of Kaysville. Mr. and Mrs. Bourne were married in Farmington on MR. BOURNE is retired from Davis County School District and was a farmer and also superintendent of grounds at Oakridge Country Club. Mrs. Bourne retired from Hill Air Force Base with 21 years of service. THEY ARE active members the Kaysville 8th LDS Ward. They are the parents of three sons, Richard K. Bourne, of life-lon- of Robert and Janet Jones Byram. He graduated from Ogden High School and went into the range sheep operation his father started. His sons have carried out that business. Mrs. Byram was born in Plain City, a daughter of William Alma and Sarah E. Richardson Hodson. She graduated from Weber High School. THEY ARE both active members of the LDS Church. POORE received his M.S. degree in educational psychology in 1974 and an EDS from the university in 1978. The bridegroom is a graduate of Davis High School and is a senior at the University of Utah. He filled an LDS Peru Arequipa mission, np 1 g, scoutmaster. He has also served his com- munity as a director of the Utah Wool Growers, president of the Monte Cristo Grazers Association, president of the Lakeside Grazers Association, and member of the Weber County Predator Control Board. MRS. BYRAM has been Primary president, secretary and teacher, Relief Society president, secretary and visiting teacher, stake Scout director for four years and a scout leader for 29 years. She has been a worker on the Davis County Fair board for 31 years, 10 years as chairman of the home arts department. She was president of the Clinton PTA. Mrs. Byram is active in the South Weber Camp and has been on the North Davis County Board of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She has been Weber County District director of the Make It Yourself With Wool contest for 1 1 years and four years as treasurer of the Utah Woolgrowers Auxiliary. THE COUPLE has four sons, William K. AT AGE one and one-ha- lf years, they moved with the family to a farm in Layton on Old Fiddlers Creek (now Rosewood Lane) until their marriages. They attended Layton Elementary until 1919. Later they graduated from Davis High School in 1923. They also attended the John R. Barnes LDS Seminary, being members of the first graduating class in 1922. Alleen Talbot Nelson married Harvey Nelson, June 12, 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple and settled in Layton where she still resides. He passed away on April 19, 1975. SHE WORKED hard and raised a small family on a farm in Layton. She has been active in the LDS Church working mostly in the Relief Society as a work director. She makes beautiful quilts for church, family and friends. She is also very active in senior citizens. tries many different types of plants, such as peanuts and yams. She has been active in the LDS Church in genealogy work. She has researched the many generations on the family line and presented extensive genealogy records to each of her children as wedding gifts. She also makes beautiful crochet and tattet items. HER masterpiece is the RushN Point carpet she designed and made for her stairway, depicting scenes of U.S. and Utah history.
