The cucumbers, zucchini, carrots and green beans should soon be ready to pick. During the hot weather we should eat SALAD DRESSING cup mayonnaise cup chopped vegetables (a combination of chopped carrots, onions, radishes, celery and green pepper, if desired) V salads and fresh fruits and vegetables. VEGETABLE DIP (Without Cream Cheese) cup mayonnaise Vi tsp paprika Tbsp. chopped green onion or (1 tsp dried onion) Vi tsp. curry powder tsp. garlic salt : tsp vinegar or lemon juice Vi tsp. Worcestershire sauce V tsp dill seed tsp. celery seed or celery salt or other seasonings or herbs that you desire 1 IN A SMALL bowl blend all ingredients thoroughly Adjust seasonings to your taste Chill over night or for several hours before serving. Serve with sticks, green pepper strips, radishes or tomatoes. THE WELL has the ability to produce 5 ,000 gallons of water per minute (11.0 cubic feet per second) or the equivalent of 8,000 acre feet of water per year. This amount is more water than stored in Causey Re- - servtor. close to power and close to a stream large enough to carry off excess water if the well over produces or if there is a problem with the Weber Basin IT TOOK about ten months to drill the well and set in the three miles of pipe line that will carry water to the Weber Basin system. Riverdale Industries, Hill AFB and others, dmg VZZTwV 225 mm mmi Prices Effective through July 17, 1982 Official Verdeland Park Scrapbook Prepared In 1948 Mrs. Hortense Richardson, Mrs. Helen Niel- son and many residents of Verdeland Park in Layton prepared an official Verdeland Park Scrapbook. This collection of clippings and articles from many sources covered the period of time from Jan. 1944 to April 1948. It told of all phases of the parks existence from parties and banquets to PTA officers, clubs, church activities and classes. FOR MANY years the scrapbook stayed in the Verdeland Park office. Its whereabouts at the present time are unknown. LAST WEEK Mrs. Richardson, who now lives in Salt Lake City found a newspaper article from The Leader dated May 6, 1948.
