KAYSVILLE Mrs. Thomas (Eldora) Lenox of 16 N. 400 E., Kaysville was named Woman of the Year of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Layton. THIS AWARD is given to the woman who has contributed the most service to her community, church and parish the past year. Mrs. Lenox was honored to receive the noted award, np MRS. Gradually add the brown sugar and add one egg at time beating well. Blend the flour and salt into the creamed mixture. Spread batter in a prepared baking pan and bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until center is firm when pressed with fingertips. Remove from oven and while hot cut into 2 inch squares. Remove from pan and cool on wire cake rack. Makes 16 brownies. PEANUT ': ': ': BUTTER FROSTING cup peanut butter cup butter or margarine tsp vanilla A A A A 1 egg Vt cup orange juice SIFT DRY ingredients together onto a piece of waxed paper. In a medium size bowl cream the peanut butter, shor- tening, grated orange rind together. Gradually add. cup of a lightly greased cookie sheet. With a floured fork flatten balls into rounds forming crisscross patterns. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until cookies are lightly browned in a 375 degree oven. Makes about six dozen cookies. NO COOK PEANUT BUTTER FUDGE V PEANUT BUTTER BROW- A orange juice. Cover the bowl and chill dough thoroughly. Shape the chilled dough into balls about the size of walnuts. Place the balls about 2 inches cup peanut butter cup corn syrup, light or dark 1A cup nonfat dry milk solids A cup sifted confectioners sugar BLEND PEANUT butter and syrup in large mixing bowl. Measure nonfat dry milk solids and sifted confectioners sugar and add all at once. Mix all together first with a spoon and then with hands, knead in dry ingredients. Turn onto a board and continue kneading untill mixture is well blended and 1 1 smooth. Press out with hands or rolling pin into squares A inch thick. Cut into squares. Top with nuts if desired. Makes about two pounds. For a variation follow above recipe but add A cup cocoa to peanut butter syrup mixture before adding dry ingredients. BISCUIT ROLY-POL- 13 cup peanut butter l3cup honey 2 Tbsp grated lemon rind Tbsp lemon juice 1 2 cups sifted pastry cloth roll dough into a rectagle about 7x10 inches. r Spread the set aside peanut mixture over the dough. Roll up jellyroll fashion, starting at one of the short sides. Place seam side down in a greased loaf pan and make several criss cross cuts on top. Bake 25 minutes at 450 degrees or until golden brown. Turn out of pan and slice. Serve hot. With knives or a pastry blender cut the shortening into the sifted dry ingredients until the mixture looks like coarse corn meal. Add the milk all at once stirring to blend only. On a lightly floured board or medium size bananas. Spread one-inc- h sing. 1 EXPERIMENT with peanut 1 butter and other ingredients.
