CAR CARE HEAVEN If we take care of people, the business takes care of itself, is a simple statement of Tom Pattersons business philosophy. TOM IS the owner of Toms Auto Parts in Clearfield. He has had 12 years in the auto parts business. For the past three and one-hayears, he had owned and operated his own Clearfield store. Recently, the business moved into a lf completely renovated old building on Clearfields Main Street. The change in location was made to give the business a more convenient place, a lar- ger building and better parking. TOM PATTERSON moved with his family to Clearfield when he was two years old. While he was attending Clearfield High School, he worked part time in a local parts store. He continued working in the auto parts business while he attended Weber State College. Tom earned a degree in business from Weber State in 1976. Two years later, he opened his own business. THE PARTS business has always been interesting to Tom. He has the background and knowledge of merchandise necessary to operate the business. His business schooling taught him how a business should be run if it were to sue-- . ceed. Tom has definite ideas about operating a business. He believes you must love doing DJETTUTEHS business with people. You must know the products you sell. You must treat customers the way you want to be treated. THE 12 PEOPLE employed by Toms Auto Parts subscribe to this same business philoso- phy.
