Show I WEEKLY REFLEX DAVIS NEWS JOURNAL. i NORTH DAVIS LEADER, AUG. 6, 1981 Family Relives Mountain Man Era An annual outing that has become something that the family looks forward too for a long time e v ery v ear w as again relived by Mr. and Mrs. Bart Cutler and their children of Layton. E ERY JULY hundreds of buckskinned hearties gather deep in the Wyoming Rockies, trying to recreate a time when the frontier was untamed. They are members of the American Mountain Men and they rendezvous for a week at Henry's Fork on the tranquil Green River. It was here in the early 1800's that fur trappers would meet to trade pelts for provisions with agents of the Hudson Bay Co. Now instead of hides, the modern mountain men swap handmade moccasins and tall tales. No one is allowed to bring or use anything invented after 1840. YOU WONT find coolers, lawn chairs or modern camping equipment, states Mr. Cut ler. These men take this week .
