The couple was honored at a wedding breakfast at the home of John and Gwen Smith in Salt Lake City following the ceremony. That evening they were honored at a reception in the Kaysville Tabernacle cultural back. She carried a bouquet of pink and burgundy roses surrounding a white orchid with accents of lace to make up the bouquet. THE VFW volunteered to help the Eagles by paying the airfare for indviduals to attend the school. The Eagles had money to purchase three guide dogs for three blind people living in Utah but they did not have enough money to buy the airline tickets needed to send the individuals to San Rafael. Pres. John Biewert accepted the check in behalf of the Eagles PAAPs Club members and thanked the VFW for their Club generous donation.
