NORTH DAVIS LEADER, MARCH 18, 1981 5th Ward CHURCH Concert March 20 Missionaries The Kaysville 5th Ward Concert will be held March 20 at 7 p.m. in the Kaysville South Stake Center. '80 S. Main. YRD is presenting a THE ward concert. Musicians from the ward w ill perform in a v of ways (eg. violin, voice, piano, organ, flute.). Rebecca Glade, a renowned Utah soprano from Salt Lake City . will close the program. She has starred in Promised V alley tor many vears and with Robert Peterson at Pioneer Memorial Iheutre. There will be an art display as part ofthe evening's activities. lhe purpose ol the conceit is to prov ide an opportunity for ward members to display their talents: to give lamilies an opportunity to hear tine musical entertainment fiee ot choice and will also give parents an opportunity to educate then children in concert behavior and appreciation tor the tine arts. The concert will also encourage young and old to develop their talents. V ari-et- y ELDER SLADE Elder Kent Slade will return March IS from serving in the California-SaJose Mission. n IX) RA BYBEE ELDER BELNAP Elder Eric Dean Belnap will return this week from his mission for the LDS Church in Florida. ERIC WILL report on his mission March 22 at 10:20 a.m. the Kaysville 6th Ward and at 5:20 in the Bountiful 14th Ward. in Dora Bybee of 562 North 1000 West. West Point, has been called to serve on her second mission, this time to the Phillipines Davao Mission. She w ill leave April 1. MISS BYBEE has already served one mission for the church and she concluded that mission just last June by spending a year and a half in the state of Georgia. Her farewell will be conducted this Sunday, March 22 at the West Point Stake Center located on 2)00 West. FOR 44 years, she served as a teacher in the Davis County School District and that included 34 years as a principal of W'est Point and Syracuse elementaries. She is a member of the Delta Kappa Gammen (Epsilon Chapter) organization which includes several of the honorary teachers in the area. Miss Bybee has also been very active in church duties throughout the years. ELDER GIBBS Todd Robert Gibbs has been called to serve in the French Paris Mission. He will speak at the Syracuse First Ward sacra- ment meeting on Sunday, March 22 at 10:20 a.m. ELDER GIBBS is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John P. Gibbs. 1476 S. 2500 W Syracuse. He graduated from Clearfield High School and seminary. He has attended BYU for the past year. He has been active in his priesthood quorums, has played church basketball and played baseball while at Clearfield High. HE WILL gie his mission report on Sunday . March 22 in the Kaysville ISth Ward sacrament meeting at 12 noon in the Kaysville Crestwood Stake Center, 555 N. 100 E. He graduated from Davis High School where he was a member of the school band. He was owner and operator of a shop if Bountiful and later employed with the National Car Rental prior to leaving to serve his mission. There are 23 in the orchestra and 14 in the dance group plus 33 in the cast. The script for the production was written by Kristen Ellis, a student at the View-moseminary. She also wrote three songs for the production. Five other songs in the musical were written by seminary students, three of them by DeAn-nWinkel of Kaysville. THE orchestra is conducted by Eric Hansen of the Kaysville seminary. He also did the Alan Birch returned from servingamission. He served in the Texas.
