The annual East Layton city officials, employees and their partners Christmas party was held Friday, Dec. 12 at the city hall. The city furnished turkey , ham and punch while those who attended contributed a potluck dish. This will be the final Christmas party for the city personnel and so it was also a special farewell party. East Layton city treated about 20 men from the Weber Basin Job Corps and the park workers and supervisors to a special appreciation dinner on Tuesday evening, Dec. 9. These men donated their services to help build the East Layton City Park free of charge. The dinner was held at the Chateau Reception Center in Layton. A planned potluck Christmas party was enjoyed by members of the Francis Peak Gem and Mineral Club last Friday at the East Layton home of one of the club members.
