She accompanied her son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Franks to Utah. They came to put their son in the Mission T raining Center in Provo prior to his leaving on his LDS mission to California. We had one Denver trip winner, Kim Davis, for a foods demonstration. OTHER WINNERS were: Jerily Huffaker, receiving a plaque for a foods demonstration. Lynnette Owens receiving a plaque for top talent, and Robert Morrill and Alene Dalton received trophies in shooting sports. Robert took second highest individual score and Alene received third highest individual score. Also, Heidi Jensen and Stephanie Davis received the top poultry award in meal preparation. 4-- 4-- Davis County had two teams enter in the shooting sports event. The team of Shane Monroe, Robert Morrill, Ron Cole, and Doug Evans took first place team in the state and the team of Alene Dalton, Wendy Martin, Bret Moscon, and Tyler Perkins took second place in the state. They all received blue ribbons and pins. MANY OF the rest of our totgroup achieved high with a al of 25 blue ribbons, three plaques, two trophies, eight pins, cookbooks and many more ribbons and certificates.
