June 16. in honor of the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Dean R. Jeffs of Fruit Heights. The gathering was held at the Davis County Park. Overa hundred friends and neighbors attended. A delicious meal was prepared, followed by a reading composed by Marjorie P. Fisher depicting many special events in the lives of Marjorie and Dean. Activities and games were planned for the children and adults who desired to participate. Mrs. Lillie Smith and granddaughter Susan Lloyd of Grace. Ida. are visiting a few days with Mrs. Smith's sister and brother-in-laMr. and Mrs. Mark Gundelfinger. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Hansen and son Steven have returned from a two week vacation trip to Pennsy lvania. At Bethleham. Ponderosa Drive in Layton, whose birthday was June 3; Lorie Ann Le La Cheur, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Le La Cheur of 2997 S. 2000 West in Syracuse, whose birthday was June 12; K. C. MR. KINGSLEY, a resident of Salt Lake City, has received his MD degree. He is a graduate of Layton High School where he was a Sterling scholar in science. He is affiliated with Phi Beta Kappa Society. He has done extensive research of anti- convulsant, sodium valproate, with results published and presented at the Western Student Medical Society meeting. He is presently in internal medicine residency at the University of Arizona, and w ill be there for the next three years. HE IS married to the former Kathryn Prigmore of Kaysvil-le- . The new doctor has received earlier degrees in biology and holds a BA degree. The program of slides and music has been put in a computer preserved for posterity and will be enjoyed again at all family gatherings. Mrs. Wilma Buhler is confined to the Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful where she is daughter and family Mr. and Mrs. Don Adams. He came for the wedding of his grandson Rev an Adams w ho was married on Friday. Trena Erickson and her sister Teresa Erickson of Lew Ida. are visiting this week with their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Verl A. Walker. Mr. and Mrs. Dean R. Jells were honored at a surprise dinner at Bratten's in Bountiful on June 18. The occasion being the 40th anniversary of Marjorie and Dean R. Jells. All of the children, their mates and 13 grandchildren were in attendance. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. D. Robert Jeffs. Jr. and daughter Kav Dean of Morgan Mr. and Mrs. P. Hal leffs. Ricky, Chns, Julie. Michiel. of Bear River City: Mr. and Mrs. J. Steven Jetts. Bonnie. Durt and Tanti of Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. Bruce W. Jeffs. Jennifer. Brian. Clinton. Leslie and Sharon of Kaysville: Mr. and Mrs. Karle Armitage of Salt Lake City. Following the dinner the family returned to the family home of Dean and Marjorie Jeffs where a special film presentation. prepared by their daughter. NlarDiene. was presented. The film was a family history beginning with slides of the campus of USU and points of interest in the lives of Marjorie and Ean. Beginning with Logan and Layton. Miss Paula Sheffield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russell H Sheffield of Bountiful, has received her call to serve a mission in Italy. She will leave in September. Mrs. Lucile B. The Kaysville 13th LDS Ward held their annual summer overnight camp out at Round Valley near Morgan. The large.group of families enjoyed a delightful time with planned activities and fun for all. They returned to Logan to attend the baccalaureate services and graduation exercises for Craig Taylor. Craig received his degree in education and political science. In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
