Army during World War II, and served in both World War II and the Korean War. He had eight years of active service. After leaving active service, he joined the Army reserve and retired from the reserve after 20 years of service with the rank of lieutenant colonel. GOIDEN C. SILL The Layton July 4th Riata Days committee has selected Golden C. Sill, Layton city councilman, to be the grand marshal for the annual July 4th Parade. MR. SILL has a long history of community service. He was the mayor of Layton for two BY PROFESSION, Mr. Sill is an educator. He taught school in Davis County for 14 years and then served as a school principal for 16 years. Currently he is the principal at Hill Top Elementary School in Layton. LAYTON Approval has been granted to build a hospital to treat large animals at 950 S. Angel in Layton. THE LAYTON City Council gave its okay last week to the facility to be operated by Dr. Kevin Hill on a nearly two acre site. He currently operates out of his home located on that site, but said a larger facility is needed. 'I've been practicing there about eight months and need to move into a (separate) building. It's primarily a large animal practice w ith the dairy area to the west and the growing horse population that I serve.
