Low- t$ ry of 191 Hawthorne Dr., Layton, have been called to serve an LDS mission in California. They will be honored on June 29 at 9 a. m. in the regular Sacrament meeting service. The chapel is located at 7X9 Wasatch Dr., Layton. ft ik 1 1 1 ii a i 11 THEY WILL enter the Mission Training Center in Provo on July 2. Mr. Lowry is retired from Hill AFB and has been engaged in carpentry work and 'selling real estate. He and his wife have been residents of Davis County for the past 30 years. They have lived in Layton for 19 years. He has been the secretary in the his high priest group for the past ten years. MRS. LOWRY has been the Relief Society librarian for the past several years; a nursery leader in the Relief Society; a Sunday School teacher, Primary Teacher and the ward genealogy training leader. Theey are the parents of 13 living children, with one being deceased. They have 26grand-childre- n and one THEY RECENTLY attended a high school class reunion of Mr. Lowrys held in Legrange, Wyo. They also visited relatives in other nearby states. HE WILL be honored at sacrament meeting on June 29 at 10:20 a.m. in the Syracuse First Ward, 1700 South 2000 West. Elder Cook graduated from Clearfield High School and four year seminary. A member of the schools band, he was also a member of the National Honor Society. THIS PAST year he has been attending Utah State University. An active member of the Syracuse First Ward, he has been an assistant to the bishop in the Priest Quorum and has earned his Eagle Scout award. On July 10 he will enter the Mission Training Center. IS the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Caley. 3431 West 1300 North, West Point. She will be speaking at the West Point Fourth Ward sacrament meeting at 10:20 a.m. on Sunday morning, June 29. The chapel is located at 34X8 West 300 North, West Point. A GRADUATE of Clearfield High School and four year seminary, Miss Caley has been actively engaged in the organizations of her ward, has served in the Relief Society Young Adult program and also as a teacher in the Sunday School and Primary organizations, vsb Elder Brent G. Moss has been called to serve an LDS mission in the Illinois Chicago (Spanish) Mission. His farewell was held June 22 in the Crestwood Kaysville Chapel. THE NEW elder is a graduate of Davis High School. He was active in the symphonic and marching band winning many awards in his percussion activities. He has held many leadership positions in various church organizations and was awarded his Dut to God award. He has attended the U. of U. for the past year. Brent has been performing as a professional drummer with several bands in the area. ELDER MOSS leaves for the Mission Training Center on July 3. He is the son of Stanley D. and Norine H. Moss of Kaysville, and grandson of Graydon S. and Ethel B. Holt of Layton. Clearfield Births A daughter arrived on May 20, 1980 at the McKay-De- e Hospital to Mr. and Mrs. Dennis K. Rasnussen of Clearfield. She weighed 7 lbs. 13 oz. and will be named Candace Jolene Rasmussen. She was welcomed at home by her older brother Dennis Shane and a sister Dana Marie. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Thorson, Kaysville, and Mrs. Edna Rasmussen, Clearfield. Mrs. Rasmussen was the former Arlene Thorson. vsb Elder Bradley Olpin Snell will have his mission farewell at 9 a.m., Sunday, June 29 in the Kaysville 20th Ward, 1039 East Crestwood Road. He will serve in the Hong Kong Mission and will enter the Missionary Training Center on July 3. BRAD IS the son of Dr. and Mrs. George F. Snell, 1437 North 750 East, Kaysville, and is a member of the Kaysville 20th Ward. He graduated from Davis High School and LDS Seminary, where he was active in sports and drama. He has spent the past year attending Weber State Judy A. Miller, daughter of Ben and Delma Miller, 542 Daley Ave., Layton, has accepted an LDS mission call to the Oklahoma Tulsa Mission. A FAREWELL testimonial will be held June 29 at 1 p.m. in the Layton 9th Ward located at 789 East Wasatch Dr. She will enter the Mission Training Home on July 10. Miss Miller is a graduate of Layton High School and a four y year graduate of Layton program. She works at the LDS Church office building and attended Weber Insti-tu- e of Religion. Semi-'nar- LAYTON Gordon L. Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Newell T. Anderson. 2561 W. 1000 N.. Layton, has been called to serve in the Philippine Davao Mission. HE WILL enter the Mission Training Center on July 3 and will speak in Sacrament meeting on Sunday. June 29. at 2:50 p.m. in the Layton Second Ward. 2120 W. Gentile. Elder Anderson graduated from Layton High School and the Layton Seminary. He attended Dixie College in St. George for the past year. Weekly meetings are planned for every Wednesday during the summer months. Leader of the group is Mrs. Dorothy B. Bouy, she will hold the meetings at her home. Officiers of the club are Kimberly Redford, president; Stephanie Bouy, vice pres 4-- leader; Kristen Cook, health t, and safety; and Michelle recreation director. A full program is planned for the girls and the course they have chosen is expected to help them achieve during the scheduled time. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Bodily Cor-gai- have returned from a two weeks visit to the home of their son and his family, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bodily and family who reside in Sacramento, Calif. Mrs. Roy Hodgson is recovering from surgery that she underwent in the McKay-De- e Hospital in Ogden recently. Miss Michele Steed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Steed, is able to be up and around again, after surgery. Mr. and Mrs. Claude McBride and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Davis of Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. Reed Williams, Layton, have all enjoyed a vacation trip to California. ELDER HOSKINS resided in Clearfield until the passing of his parents, and since that time has made his home with a Mr. brother and sister-in-laand Mrs. Sherman Hoskins of Farmington. Elder Marvin W. Hailing has been called to serve an LDS mission in the Venezuela Maracaibo Mission.
