Djtrothy Parrish To Receive Degree and during her senior year in the placement office. Ms. Parrish spent her junior year in Europe under the Stanford overseas campus program, fall quarter in Tours, France, and winter and spring quarters in Berlin, Germany. Under this program, Stanford encourages students to travel extensively with class schedules made flexible for this Dorothy Parrish completed requirements for a bachelor of arts degree at Stanford University. She will receive her diploma in lune. e. WHO.E AT Stanford, Ms. Parrish, served on the election Vjtview board, as a tutor in the!SLE (humanities) program, and worked in the art department, Ombudsman office purpose. MS. PARRISH is a 1976 graduate of Davis High School and following a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Parrish in December, she left for New York City where she is employed by the International Agricultural Develop- ment (Asia), Rockefeller Foundation. See your Pixy photographer for details. Pixy studios are permanently located at JCPenney Edmund Pudlewski, she won the school sqelling competition in the 5th, 6th, 7th and now the 8th grade. Lst year, as a 7th grader, Liz placed first in the region spelling contest and first in the district contest. She went on to place tenth at the e spelling contest. Liz will go on to compete in the regional meet later this month. state-wid- LAST YEAR, the north Layton special Olympic team brought back the silver and other awards but this year they are trying out for the Olympic gold. What are the Special Olympics? Fora starter, the Special Olympics are a special activity for the handicapped children of America. The Olympics are sponsored by the John Kennedy Foundation and by United Cerebral Palsy Plan. FOR A $5 fee, a handicapped child may have a chance for an Olympic Gold. These Olympics are held about three times a year and each have four activities. Next week, North Layton's team will compete in swimming, basketball and gymnastics at BYU. The following week, they will compete at a snow clinic. In May, there will be competition in track and field sports.
