Show Vikings Look To Keep Slate Clean Bountiful To Play West In Against Wildcats By DAVE WIGHAM Woods Cross there was one. But it's the inside work that Coach Hall hopes to use against the West club. "We COACH MIKE Hall of the Braves feels that the football games of late have added to the rivalry quite a bit. They have probably made it more than it should be. Basically though I dont think either team is using the football thing as a psycho- second place in the region with identical records. The w inner will stay on the heels of 1 league leading Viewmont while the loser will have tw'o loses and a long road to haul to claim the title. West indeed does have quickness with Carey Lloyd. The Panthers are a scrappy type club who simply dont give up and keep coming at you. The Braves have won two tough encounters on the road thus far, over Highland and Woods Cross, so the task of people and they take turns in having hot nights. Last week the Lancers were led by senior Stan Owens in their big win over rival Clearfield as they climbed into first place in their region all by these facts, they have won two big games on the road , and this is a team that only won two games in preseason. THIS FRIDAY the Layton crew could put some more distance between themselves and the field as they host the Weber crew that sports a 1 record in league action. Then on Tuesday of the following week they travel up north to battle the Skyview team which currently stands at Layton played up and down in the win over the Clearfield five as the Lancers jumped out to an early lead then saw it disappear just as the half ended. The second half was for awhile but in the end they came up on the w inning side of the coin.
