Elder Val Durrant, who has been serving an LDS mission in the Alaska Anchorage Mission. Elder Durrant has been ill for the past six weeks and has been flown to the states for medical care. He entered the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City on Monday for treatment and when well, will return to Alaska to complete his mission. By DONETA M. GATHERUM Virginia Larsen is at home recovering from surgery on her hands. This is the second operation she has had on her hands. Vern and Jean Flint and their children, Terri Ann, Elizabeth, Christian and Matthew have returned home to Renton, Wash., a suburb of Seattle. Glen Love is recovering from an illness in the Davis North Medical Center. Her youngest daughter, Karen Sill, lives in Layton. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lopez hosted a special Thanksgiving dinner for family members at their home. Fifteen of the Lopezs 16 children were able to attend. Most of the children live in Wasatch Front communities but one girl traveled from Colorado to be with her family. The bride is a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Laynton J. Myers, Sr. of Covington, Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Barker R. of 1149 East Crestwood Rd., Kaysville. The newlyweds received guests at a reception held in the social hall of the LDS Church in Covington, Va. THE BRIDE was attired in a gown of white dacron polyester organza. The bodice was accented with tiny seed pearls and Chantilly lace, which also trimmed the veil and chapel length train. During the reception, piano music was played by Elizabeth Ann Dressier and Miss Lisa Smith sang several numbers for the young couple. An open house was held Oct. 26 at the home of the groom's parents in Kaysville. THE BRIDE is a graduate from Allegheny County High School and attended Dabney Lancaster Its Mrs. a daughter for Mr. and Jerry Carrington of 1213 North Winston Drive, Kaysville.
