Bennett Succumbs At 83 'the Davis North Medical Center following an illness. Hyrum Wilford Bennett, Dec. 11, 1924, he married Pauline Knoblauch in Salt Lake City. She died HE WAS bom June 3, 1900 in Layton, a son of James W. and Elizabeth Young Day. On 83, of 3979 W. 300 N West Point, died Tuesday, March 27, in the St. Benedict Hospital in Ogden, following surgery. MR. BENNETT was born Oct. 12, 1895, in South Hooper, Utah and was the son of George Riley and Mary Ann King Bennett. On Jan. 16, 1941 he was married to Ella Thurgood in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Kester Dies In Cycle Accident Services Held grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Vera D. Bassett, Mrs. Dot Day Sandail, Mrs. Ada Day Fenfrock, all of Layton; Mrs. Bessie D. Johnson, Salt Lake City. His only child, a daughter, Mrs. Darilyn Day Ridl, preceded him in death. Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 1979 in the Lindquist Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Howard Smith March 19, 1978. officiating. MR. DAY was a farmer and a cattleman. He was a member of the Layton 18th LDS Ward. He lived most of his life in Layton and he also spent some time at a summer home in Monrovia, Calif. FAMILY prayer was by David W. FUNERAL services were held Saturday, March 31 in the Kaysville Lindquist Mortuary with Bishop Stephen Emmett Nalder of the Layton 10th Ward officiating, dmg HE HAD worked for National Distributions Systems at the Freeport Center in HiU-- l Clearfield. He was reared and educated in Morgan, moving to Layton in 1968. He attended Layton High School. MEMBER of the LDS Church, he had belonged to the Layton 10th Ward. HE HAD been engaged in in West Point and employed as a fireman at the farming Clearfield Naval Supply Depot. He had been employed in the tool division of repairs while at Hill Air Force Base. He had been a life long resident of this city and was an active member of the West Point First LDS Ward. SURVIVING are his widow of West Point, one son and one daughter; Eldon H. Bennett, Clearfield; Miss Bessie Ben- nett, West Point; five grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers and one sister, Marvin A. Bennett, George Q. Bennett and Mrs. Florence Paice, all of West Point and Melvin J. Bennett, Clearfield. FUNERAL arrangements made were through Lindquist's Kaysville Mora included family tuary and prayer by Rulon King, prelude and postlude music by Arlene Thomas, and a welcome by Bishop Aaron Mrs. Iva Leona Udy Beecher, 88, of 11th North Main Street, Farmington, died March 24, 1979 in a Bountiful Nursing Home of natural causes. SHE WAS born Oct. 27, 1890 in Elba, Idaho, a daughter of Joseph and Annetta Smith Udy. She was married to Cecil Rolla Beecher, June 26, 1909, in Albion, Idaho. He died August 28, 1972 She lived in Elba, Idaho from 1890 to 1919. From 1919 to 1924 they lived in Brigham City and in 1936 they moved to Lewiston, Utah. She has lived in Farmington years i for many SHE WAS educated in the Elba, Idaho schools. She was an active member of the Farmington 3rd Ward and participated in the auxiliary organizations of her ward. She was an active temple worker for many years and a member of the Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Kenneth Cecil: Buhl, Idaho; Clyde Rolla and Mrs. J. E. both of Salt Lake Richards. Two musical selections were given by Ivas granddaughters, I Know That My Redeemer Lives, and I Need Thee Every Hour. The invocation was given by Vance King, the obituary read by Robert Beecher and the speaker was Jay Welch. Benediction was given by Mike Beecher. PALLBEARERS were Ken Beecher, Clyde Beecher, Verl Beecher, Pat Beecher, Ned Beecher, Dick Beecher, Brian King, Brett King, and Kelly Beecher. Honorary pallbearers were Edwin Earl and Arthur Miller. Dedication of the grave was given by Clyde Beecher. Care of the flowers was by the Farmington 3rd Ward Relief Society. Interment was in the Farmington City Cemetery.
