Utah County, with tremendous growth still going on in the area, is second in county population with an estimated 189,226. Provo-Ore- Weber County. increased by more than 60,000 between the 1970 census and when the 1980 census is taken in April of 1980. Davis County is carrying the population load with an estimated 129,732 as of July 1, 1978. Thats an increase of since the official 1970 census, according to the Utah Population Work Committee 30,704 report. WEBER COUNTY still area in leads the population with an estimated 141,896, but the increase is four-count- y only 15,354. That means that Davis 4th in place County, statewide, nearly doubled Weber Countys population growth during the past eight years and by the end of the decade should move into third spot among top population SALT LAKE County, of course, is by far the largest county with an estimated 544,737 as of July 1, 1978.
