Kempf Arthur Jeremy Kempf, 64 of 80 South 200 West, died Tuesday, Apr. 26, 1977 in the Davis North Medical Center in Layton. MR. KEMPF was born June 2, 1912 in Salt Lake City, a son of Calvin M. and Chloe Jeremy Kempf. He was married to Mary Selander on March 7, 1935 in Salt Lake City. He had been employed as a sheet metal worker at the Clearfield Naval Supply Depot and Hill Air Force Base. HE HAD been a Kaysville resident for the past 30 years and was a member of the Mrs. Ronald L. Spencer of 1052 E. Rainbow Drive, East Layton. Mark is a Priest and is active in the Priesthood organizations. He has served as a counselor and secretary in the Priesthood. He is a zone leader in the Layton High School LDS Seminary. He is a first class scout. Kaysville First LDS Ward. Surviving are his widow of Kaysville, one son and four daughters Steven A. Kempf, Kaysville; Mrs. Knude (Kay) Larsen, Corvallis, Ore.; Mrs. Bob (Arlene) Leshon, Layton; Mrs. Jerry (Norma) Jerard, Norco, Calif.; Mrs. Rodney (Karen) Porter, Loomis, Calif, and 11 grandchildren. Mark is a sophomore at Layton High School and serves on the Legion yearbook staff. HE HAS a 100 per cent home teaching record with his companion, his father. He served formerly as an Assistant to the as of Twelve, Council president of the Boston Stake, as a counselor in the stake presidency, as a counselor in the Weston Ward bishopric, and as a member of the New York Stake High Council. His church service began with a mission to the Northern States in 1942, after which he served for two years with the Marines in the Pacific. Elder Perry resided in Boston six years where he first was vice president for finance of Lechmere Sales, an appliance and hardware department store of Boston. He then took the position as treasurer for R.H. Stearns Company, which operates six department stores in the Boston area. He was appointed by President Gerald R. Ford to serve on the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration Advisory Coun- cil. ELDER Perry received his B.S. degree in finance at Utah State University in 1949 and did graduate study there in 1950. He was born August 5, 1922, in Logan, Utah, and was married in the Logan Temple July 18, 1947, to the former Lee of Hyde Park, , Virginia Utah. They were the parents of two daughters and a son. Mrs. Perry died December 14, 1974. Elder Perry married the former Barbara Dayton on April 28, 1976. They are residing on the Bluff Road. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Egan and family attended the blessing of their first grandchild last Sunday in Ogden. The new little Miss arrived recently to Mr. and Mrs. Steve Wathen at the McKay Hospital and tipped the scales at 7 pounds. The new mother was the former Barbara Egan. The other grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Wathen of Sandy, Utah. The happy greatgrandparents here are Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Barber. the National Park Service. The featured speaker will be Dr. Anand A. Yang, assistant professor, University of Utah, representing a local organiza- tion called Chinese for Community Action (CFCA). His topic will be The Forgotten Contribution: The Chinese Role in the Building of the Central Pacific Railroad.
