HOMELESS 376-835- 5 Davis M'OdBg flCad TT Referral Service: 100 Calls HODOIT After nearly three months the United Way sponsored Davis County Information & Referral Service is receiving well over 100 calls a month. Requests for information & services vary widely, but some of the more frequent concerns have been for community resource information, referrals to social service agencies, about senior citizens programs, consumer-financia- l problems, and housing. THE UTAH High School Rodeo Association has been established to promote the development of sportsmanship, horsemanship, and character in our states youth. It is a fact that the state of Utah ranks first among the fifty states in the average number of school years completed (12.2 percent); percentage of high school graduates and total population (55.8 percent); and the percentage of eighteen to twenty-on- e year olds attending schools of higher learning (74 percent). HOWEVER, A fact not known by many: is that Utah holds the second highest membership in the High School Rodeo Association next to Colorado. Utah also has more youth qualifying for shows than 28 Bull-Ridin- p WE HAVE many youth within the state of Utah, who are qualified; and desirous to attend the National High School Rodeo Competition; which will be held in Sulphur, La. on Aug. 1. THE NATIONAL Competition consists of one full week of competitiveness between contestants. The state of Utah had 35 youth qualified to attend the National finals last year; with hopes to have more this year. referrals to appropriate agencies or individuals.
