Garlick, 91, returned home to his Heavenly Father, Dec. 17, 2003; at home. He was born March 19, 1912, to Erastis and Minnie Malinda Garlick in Fairview, Utah. He married Maxine Bills, Oct. 16, 1938. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. Ray served in the Navy Reserve. He served as secretary in the Elders Quorum in Fountain Green and the Nephi Third LDS. He worked in the extraction program for five years and at the rubber plant for 35 years. Ray is survived by his wife, Maxine; five daughters, Beulah Ferry, Orem; Luana Cleverly, Magna, (Robert) Lyman, Nephi; Linda (Robert) Talbot, Spanish Fork; and a son, Ellis (Debbie), Payson; 29 53 greatgrandchildren, and one grandchildren He is also survived by a brother, Ward (Mable) Garlick; and a sister, Velma Sykes. Ray was preceded in death by his son, Ricky; and Norton Clever-lytwo brothers and one son-in-la- n, sister. The family would like to the Hospice and the Health Care nurses, especially, Treasia and Tiffany. He was born Aug. 5. 1921, in Moroni to Martin Dorsey and Delena Jensen Stevens. He and his sweetheart, Camille, lived their life together in Moroni for the past 65 years. Their family was their greatest love and accomplishment in this life. Nevert was a friend to everyone he met. He dearly loved and appreciated all of the sheep and turkey ranchers he was associated with. He was a brother and a dad to all of those who worked with him in the trucking business and considered all of them his extended family. Nevert appreciated all of the friends who help him and Camille in their later years. He is survived by his wife, Camille Olsen Stevens; children, Bonnie (Jim) Owens; Steve Nevert Stevens; Gail (Ron) Larsen; Terri (Don) Pedersen; 13 grandchildren; and 28 He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Clovis Jones. Magleby-Rasniusse- Glade Cordner MT. PLEASAN- T- Glade D. Cordner, 72, was called home Dec. 19, 2003, in Mt. Pleasant. He was born Oct. 1 , 93 1 , in Provo, to Frank Cyrus and Elsie Davis Cordner. He married Shirley Draper. They were later divorced. He married Lois Rasmussen, who preceded him in death; and then married Cheryl Lee Wagstaff. Glade loved people. His greatest joy was talking with people and making them happy. He loved making people laugh and had a zeal for life and a love of family and friends. He loved his family and going camping with them. He loved every aspect of nature and thoroughly enjoyed life. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl, Mt. Pleasant; children, LuAnn (Dennis) Harward, Provo; Connie Batson and Lynette (Kent) McMurry, all of Preston, ID; and Phillip Cordner, Bountiful; nine grandchildren; sister MarJean C. Michael L. Roper Stevens ' Ray E. Garlick Martin 1 n, Rumich PHOENIX, AZ Mary Lynn Tucker Rumich, died at age 55 of illness in Phoenix, AZ, on Dec. 8, 2003. She was born July 28, 1948, in Englewood, CA, the third daughd ter of Ann (Gout) and John Eck-lun- Tucker. He is preceded in death by his parents; children, Jed Elwood Cordner; and Glen Alan Cordner; and a brother, Clyde F. Cordner. Funeral services were held n Dec. 23 at Pleasant. Mt. Mortuary, Interment was in East Lawn Memorial Hills Cemetery, Provo. Magelby-Rasmusse- Ewell Anderson CITY-Ew- ell VALLEY WEST T. Anderson, beloved husband, father and grandfather, age 89, passed away Dec. 7, 2003, in West Valley City. Ewell was born Oct. 4, 1914, in Fountain Green to Joseph Anderson and Katie Maria Jensen Anderson. He married Mary I. Jensen on Nov. 7, 1934, in Moroni. The marriage was later solemnized in the Jordan River LDS Temple June 9, 2000. Ewell retired from Kennecott Copper Corporation in 1976 after 35 years. Ewell enjoyed .dancing, music, raising animals, traveling and fishing. He loved his family and was proud of his great posterity. He will be remembered for his devotion to Mary during their declining years. Ewell is survived by his loving wife, Mary; children, Gayle E. (Lynn) Anderson, Taylorsville; Mary Yulene (Norman) Rushton, West Valley City; F. Jay (Donetta) Anderson, Erda; and Kathleen (Edward) Kendall, West Valley City; 23 grandchildren; 55 greatgrandchildren; and 12 sister Ruby Stans- - He enjoyed working for his clients and became close friends with many of them. Michael was a member and of the Mt. Pleasant Lions Club. Michael is survived by his Mt. Pleasant; wife, Constance, brothers, Peter L. Roper, San Diego, CA; and John L. Roper, Springfield, MO; sister, Susan L. Christy, Springfield, MO; three Todd and Tyler Irving, both Salt Lake City; and Kristi Irving, Highland. Michael is preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service was held in Springfield, MO. interment will be in the Mt. Pleasant City Cemetery. Mary 1 s, MT. PLEASAN- T- Michael Lee Roper, Mt. Pleasant, passed away Dec. 16, 2003, in Spring-fielMO, surrounded by family and friends. Michael was born to Donald E. and Rosalie A. Roper, Nov. 23, 1949, in Springfield, MO, He married Constance Ann Harris, Aug. 13, 1985. Michael graduated from Drury College, MO, in Springfield, 1971. He received his masters degree in finance from the University of Missouri, Columbia, MO; in 1973. Michael became the third generation in his family to become a certified public accountant. After graduate school, he went to work for Fox and Company, later known as Grant Thorton, the firm in which his father was a partner. He worked in their corporate office in Denver, CO, for 1 years. Michaels family owned a ranch in Aspen, CO; where he spent a lot of time as a child. He loved the mountains and he loved to ski. In 1983, Grant Thorton wanted to move their corporate headquarters to Chicago, 1L. Michael didnt want to leave the west, so he decided to go into private practice. He spent over 20 years working as a public accountant. She married Tony Rumich in Duchesne, in 1981. They were later divorced. Mary attended North Sanpete with High School before moving her family to Provo, where she graduated from the Old Brigham Young University High School. Mary was a gifted and talented person and an avid reader all of her life. She sought an acting career in her younger days and was a part of the theater for a good number of years. She lived in California, Utah, Ohio and Arizona. She is survived by two daughters, Nina Rumick, Mesa, AZ; and Carol (Chris) Seabolt, Oak Harbor, WA; three grandchildren and two sisters, Linda Church, Mesa, AZ; and Pat (Bryce) Barker, Vei nal; nine nieces and nephews and 18 grand-niecand nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and one nephew. Funeral services were held Dec. 18, in the Mortuary, Mt. Pleasant. Interment was in Fairview City Magleby-Ras-musse- Cemetery.
