PLEASAN- T- The North Sanpete Lady Hawks on the seaimproved to son with wins last week over 6-- 1 Pine View, Ogden and South Summit. Senior Kali Larsen continued her hot hand scoring 66 points to plant herself as the 3A individual scoring leader. The Lady Hawks were not very gracious hosts Tuesday night, Dec. 16, as they methodically dismantled the Pine View Panthers, Constant full court pressure by the North Sanpete defense forced Pine View into 28 turnovers, including 10 in the third quarter when the Hawks outscored their Larsen opponent scorched the nets offensively for 27 points and pulled down rebounds. North Sanpete jumped to a lead after the seven-poifirst quarter, but a Tiger surge in the last minute tied 60-5- hard-foug- ht nt the game at 28 heading into halftime. Ogden took a short-live- d four-poilead in the third a pair of quick but quarter, k buckets brought North Sanpete back, as Ogden had no answer for Larsen and Aagard on the nt back-to-bac- boards. Phil Russell, who has coached at Ogden for 33 years, was not pleased with his teams effort against North Sanpete. Applications for 2004 black bear hunting permits will be available by Feb. 3. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on March 1 to be entered in the draw for permits.
