Fairview There was some close margins in the voting here for city council seats. Peggy K. Johnson with 204 came out on top with Jonathan E. Bensen close on her heels with 202. Larry R. Hansen with 188 and Allan P. Hall on his tail with 177. Curtis Coates, 104; and Barrett Allred with 71. Mt. Pleasant Mt. Pleasant had a 25.47 of 1472 percent turn-oregistered voters to elect three council members to four-yeterms. Sandra Bigler with 300 votes was the top vote getter with Monte Bona right behind with 279 and Ann Deuel with 188. Barbara Taylor had 157, Darin J. Christensen, 95 and Mark L. Robison with 90. ut ar Moroni Moroni City 221 voters out of 632 registered elected Greg Morley with 205 votes, David R. Crosland, 203 and Paul Robert Bailey council to hold four-yeseats. Hal Anderson and Dean C. Peckman each received 59 votes and Mary T. Gilgen received 52. Wales Wales voters voted for two council members with a 63 percent turn-ou- t. Paul D. Edmunds led with 84 mayor, after winning with 39 votes, Mary L. Swan, 31, Kelly Mellor, 5 and Scott Bartholemew, 2. In the four-yecouncil race it was Sheldon Mellor with 53, Jason Christensen, 42 to win. Donald Kitchell with 37 and Kat Christensen, 18. Kelly Sue Mellor won the council seat with 42 votes and Roger Mellor with 35. votes, while Teri P. Anderson received 80 and Chrissy Rowlett had 27. Spring City Incumbents Gary Parnell with 68 votes, Tom Allred with 66 and Boyd Mickel with 64 will hold onto their council seats for another four years. Grant Mogle came out on top with 143, Kendra Sorensen had 138 and Richard A. Ahlers, 120 to win seats. Jill Murray Jensen received 49 votes. Manti Manti voters, with 49.2 percent turning out, elected Larry D. Lund with 569 votes, Alan M. Justesen with 446, Diane H. Keeler with 415 votes to their city n council. Vaun D. received 378, Mitch Jenkins, 320 and Karen H. Buchanan, 284. Mayfield In the Mayfield four-yecouncil member race, it was Van Malmgren with 74 votes, Reid Knudsen, 63 and Diane Johnson with 53. There was a 34.64 percent ? I & Mick-else- ar turn-ou- t. Gunnison Gunnison elected Scott R. Hermansen to be mayor in a close race with 242 Brian votes. Opponent Jensen received 219. In the contest for three council seats, it was Larry K. Jensen with 276, Rodney Taylor close with 274 and Steven Buchanan with 239 votes. Larry N. Caldwell received 212 votes, with Robert Judd, 189 and Mark Pickett, 171. Fayette Fayette had a 64 percent for the election of mayor, council and seats. Shawn Crane will be turn-o- ut ar ar County approves lots, pay raises and computers MANT- I- The Sanpete County Commission talked about purchasing some computers and worked on some housekeeping measures in Tuesdays regular commission meeting held at the county building in Manti. Both the auditor and the clerk need new computers to better serve the needs of the county, one which will be needed for next years election. The commission voted to allow the circus to come to the fair grounds next summer on the same basis as last year. Several employees were hired or given pay raises. ar The county also agreed match the grant from Moroni Feed Co. concerning predator control as they have done in the past. The commission also agreed to abate the delinquent taxes and waive the taxes on a building now owned by Manti City. The commission granted a request for a conditional use permit to use a power source on land seven miles north of Fairview in the Indian Ridge to solar-generat- or Subdivision. Joe Franks was granted subapproval for a four-lo- t division east of Mt. Sandra Bigler Foundation to host local holiday home show MT. PLEASAN- T- The Sanpete Valley Healthcare Foundation has scheduled their sixth annual Christmas Home Show Saturday, Dec. 6, from 2 to 8 p.m. It has been tradition that this holiday event be held in a different area each year and this year Moroni and Fountain Green will be hosts for the Home Show. The five homes available in Moroni belong to Irell and Reta Despain, Alan and Shalmane Morley, Tim and Leslie Keisel, Shane and Lori Simons, and Todd and Jessica Pay. In addition to these five homes, the Moroni Opera House will also be open for tours. The homes presented Fountain Green belong Gene and All proceeds will be used to purchase equip- life-savi- ment for use at the hospital, Exact addresses for the homes will be printed on each of the tickets. Jon and Shelly Cooks home at 210 North 500 West, Fountain Green is one of the homes featured in this years Holiday Home Tour, scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 6. in to Karen Peckham, Perry and Carolyn Christensen, Jon and Shelly Cook, and Jay and Peggy Page.
