Ironic Copies, with many services, opens in Ephraim EPHRAIThe grand opening of Ironic Copies, an expandM- ed business here was held last Saturday. Ron Stewart along with his brother, Richard Stewart, and his sister, Lorrie Stewart, have gone into partnership to create die business located at 63 South Main Street. Ron, owner of Ironic Designs, stated that over the past year so many people have asked him to expand his graphic design business to incorporate copies and other services that he could ignore their request any longer, hence Ironic Copies. Ron is originally from Colorado, but graduated from Richfield High School. He graduated from Snow College in 1993 and is currently working on his Bachelors degree from Utah State University on their extension program. He started as a graphic design artist a year and a half ago because he enjoyed the work and felt there was a need in Sanpete for the service. Richard and Lorrie moved from Richfield to join as partners with Ron in a now family-owne- d Brian business. Photographer Crowther, owner of Images, does photos for wedding announcements, Christmas cards, business brochures and other occasions. Assisting in the store is Paul Williams, whose abilities consist of custom art work including custom logos. When asked how the Ironic Copies name came about, Lorrie explained that when Ron was younger his friends gave him the nickname of I"ron"ic, thus the name for the business. The Stewarts purchased the building from Roy and Kathrine Crouch and the gymnastics group who previously met in the building still meets in the back. Added services are a new color laser copier, a 25" laminator, copy press machine, fax services, self-sercopies including duplexing, binding, trimming and folding, print brokering, graphic designing, and a scrapbook section complete with acid-fre- e paper, die cuts, scissors, stamps and stickers. Ron stated that they also do packing and shipping with UPS, ve DHL, Emery Worldwide and Federal Express. He mentioned and that they will also pick-u- p deliver copying and printing within the area. Several local businesses donated prizes that were given away in conjunction with the open house. Those businesses included Images, Fat Jacks Pizza, Hogi Yogi, Palate Pleaser, Cutting Edge Salon, Club Savory, Cosmic Comers, Sisna of Sanpete, Tracys Creations and Associated Business Products.
