Show Page Six - The Pyramid - August 7, 1996 Defensive driving course offered in Nephi, Aug. 24 SALT LAKE CIT- Y- A defensive driving course will be held by the Utah Safety Council on Aug. 24, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Nephi fire station. Drivers who successfully complete a defensive driving course reduction may receive a from their Utah driving record, once during a three-yeperiod, according to a press release from the Utah Safety Council. The eight-hocourse teaches how to recognize and react to different hazards including, bad weather, rush-hotraffic, sharthe road other cars, with ing cyclists and pedestrians. Individuals 55 years of age or older, may qualify for insurance discounts after completing the course and will receive a discount on the registration fee.
