At the Dec. 12 meeting, he reported two loans as follows: a 1993, $5,000 loan at 7.5 percent with $200 paid on account; and a 1992 loan where $300 has been paid on $5,000. Bona also reported working on another loan problem for the facade project where the Main Street building owner and the last contractor are at odds. The building, he said, has had two contractors work on it and there was no clear ending of the first contractor or beginning of the second. Bona asked the council if it was okay to try and negotiate an end to die dispute without the parties going to court. As to the question of liability, raised by Bona and some board Chairman Chesley members. Christensen said he thought it was doubtful that the city had any liability in the matter, even though the project was sold to business property owners by the city and the city controls the grant money and contracts. The council gave Bona their okay. Bona said he would be meeting with all outstanding loan holders and will prepare a report. Santas transportation.
