Kinsthe marriage of their daughter, Peggy Ann, to Brent D. Olson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Olson of West Valley. man announce They were married March 28, 1993. They will be honored at a reception Saturday, May 8, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Fairview First LDS Ward Chapel. The bride is a graduate of North Sanpete High School and is employed at Sanpete Valley Hospital. The bridegroom graduated from Granger High School and is employed at Moroni Processing Plant. The couple will live in Moroni. Miranda Marshall of Magna, daughter of David Peel of Mt. Pleasant and the late Betty Lou Peel, graduated with honors from the Brymon School of Business in Salt Lake City. She is a graduate of North Sanpete High School. She is married to Paul Marshall and they have three children. Brent and Peggy Ann Olson Edith Sorensen to exchange vows with Jim Greenan MT. TV couple will live in Huntington. Open house to honor local couple on golden anniversary Edith Sorensen, Jim Greenan Russell and Maurine Giles MT. PLEASAN- T- Russell and Maurine Giles will be honored for their fiftieth wedding anniversary with an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. May 8, 1993 at the Mt. Pleasant Stake Center. They were married May 5, 1943. The riage was solemnized Nov. 8, 1978 in the. Manti LDS Temple. They are the parents of one son, Ron and Kathie Giles of Fairview, and one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Kathy) Larson of Moroni. They have seven grandchildren. One grandson, Elder Patrick Giles, is serving in the Puerto Rico, San Juan Mission. Maurine grew up in Mt. Pleasant where she attended school. She worked as a cook at North Sanpete High School, and for Valenes Floral and Farmers Country Floral in Mt. Pleasant for several years. An active member of the LDS Church, she served in the Relief Society presidency and as Junior Sunday School secretary. She enjoys working with flowers. Russell grew up in Heber City. He attended Wasatch High and BYU. He worked for Provo Steel for 11 years, Simpson Steel in Salt Lake for 20 years; and L & M Trailer Manufacturing for 10 years. He has served as ward clerk, home teacher, in the Sunday School superintendency, and ward choir. He enjoys working in his yard. The family has requested no gifts. In the eveni1 Connie Borup, a Utah Artist, will talk in the Gallery about her paintings which will be displayed there. The Gallery will also have an exhibit from the Utah Arts Council. A reception featuring the Snow College Music Department will follow Borup s presentation. The final event is a presentation of "The Canyons Edge" from the Canyonlands Field Institute, Friday at 12:30 p.m. in the Crane Theater. "The Canyons Edge" is a Born April 9, 1993 Manti Region singles to sponsor benefit dance Singles are sponsoring a benefit by Dean ODriscoll Humanities and EPHRAIM Arts Week will be observed May 9 through 14 on the Snow College Campus. Highlights of the week will be the official dedication of the new Humanities and Arts Building by Governor Michael Leavitt, Thursday, May 13, at 3 p.m., and a lecture by former U.S. Secretary of Education T.H. Bell. Other activities will include an encore performance of Faures "Requiem," by the Snow College A Capella Choir and Orchestra May 9 at 8 p.m. in the Music Building. Throughout the week, groups from the Music Department will provide afternoon concerts from 3:30 to 4:30 in the patio areas around the Humanities Building. They will feature the Student String Quartet, the Womens Vocal Ensemble and the Jazz Band. All afternoon concerts are free of charge. Thursdays Convocation will feature the Music Department Faculty in a recital. Potter Joe Bennion and filmmaker Steve Olpin have been invited to spend all day Monday in and around the Art Department. During the 12:30 hour they will screen the film Olpin made about Bennion. Later they will visit classes. Monday night the Ascensions Spring Concert will be held at 8 p.m. in the Crane Theater. The Dance Department is featured Tuesday with both a 12:30 p.m. convocation and an 8 p.m. evening performance by Kinetic Cafe, a modem dance group. The convocation is free.
