Dale Berg and Steve Sowby from Sowby and Berg Consultants submitted the ordinance which had been rewritten to meet federal regulations. Tentative plans were made to hold a public hearto adopt the ordiing March nance once the state had an opportunity to review and approve the document. Sowby and Berg agreed to let the city pay half the $5,000 cost for preparing the ordinance when the work is completed and the balance on July 1, 1992 out of next years budget. The payment plan was signed by Mayor Larry Freeman. Others attending the meeting were Paul Krauth, State of Utah Division of Water Quality, who discussed the administrative order issued by the state on the sewer plant. He advised the council that more meetings would be needed on the issue. The council asked Waste Water Treatment Plant Superintendent John Brewer to fill in for Marty Leek in the Water Department when Marty is sick or on vacation. Brewer has agreed to the arrangement saying he understands the telemetry system but would not be able to make any repairs. The council approved a rec 1 1 4' ommendation by Mayor Larry Freeman who reported that the Ph meter at the water lab went out the day after the power break. Sandy Vincent had reported that a new meter would cost about $500 and that the money is in her budget. Mayor Freeman reported he would be working swing shift the next meeting and assigned Councilman Reed Christensen to act as Mayor Freeman said the backflow prevention ordinance also needed to be passed. It is expected to be done at the same time as the pretreatment ordinance. Pro-tem- p.
