PLEASANT, UTAH Volume One Hundred 84647 - March 11, 1992 Sanpete Democrats cast 162 ballots Prospective candidates need to file for posts before April 15 MANT1 A total of 162 votes were cast in Sanpete County during the 1992 Utah Democratic Presidential Primary held March 3 at Manti, North Sanpete and Gunnison high schools. According to tabulation records obtained from the Sanpete County Democratic Chairman Kris Christiansen, a total of 64 votes were cast in Mt. Pleasant; 62 in Manti, and 36 in Gunnison. Tsongas was the top vote getter garnering 66 votes followed by Clinton with 40 and Brown, 26. Other candidates were Agran, 1; Harkin, 6; Kerrey, 13, and Wood, 2. Seven were uncommitted. MANT- I- Prospective candidates who wish to run for elected offices will need to make their intentions known by filing with the appropriate government agency between March 16 and April 15. Only one county office is up this year, the four-yeseat commissioner county now held by Robert Bessey of Manti. In addition, one four-yeterm on local school boards will also be elected in the following precincts: North Sanpete Precinct No. 1, including Moroni 1, and Chester and Mt. Pleasant now held by Ann Deuel; Precinct No. 2, Moroni 2 and Fountain Green and now held by Frank Cook, and Precinct No. 3, Mt. Pleasant 2 and Mt. The exhibition represents a selection of prints which express the creativity of individual artists and the variety of printmaking techniques. It also reflects the diversity of styles which have characterized American art since 1945, including both objective realism and abstract styles. Prints selected for the exhibit emphasize five printmaking methods: planographic, which includes lithography; relief, which is best known from woodcuts; intaglio, of which etching and engraving are principal methods; serigraphy of screen printing; and recent experimental methods such as assemblegraphs and n. The Music Building, the former Ephraim North LDS Ward Chapel, has a freshly remodeled hall and the opera star to kickoff Snows brand new recital series. In addition to Thursdays premier performance, students will have a regular recital in the hall every Thursday at 5:30 p.m. Ms. Mitchell, a soprano, has performed roles with several opera companies throughout the United States, including Adele in "Fledermaus" with both the Nevada Opera Theatre and the Utah Opera Company. The OHV must be properly registered, and a parent or guardian must be present during the class which lasts about six hours. The Spiriteers entered the 2-- A competition as the Region Nine Championship team. Richfield, Region Ten, took second place. The Spiriteers, directed by Lauri Canales, competed in four events, military, novelty, props and dance. Bench and Rabyn Booth, were named to the drill team.
