The Institute of Human Resource Development (IHRD) awarded the grant from the Administration for Children, Youth and Families (DHHS) Head Start Bureau. Other Head Start centers are located in Roy, Salem, Beryl Junction, and Brigham City. The program is designed to bring about a greater degree of social competence in children of Utahs low income and migrant families. Head Start cominclude culturally ponents sound education, health, provisions for children with disabilities, parent involvement, social services and transportation. The program will include strong community and parent involvement through the Utah Migrant Head Start local Parent Policy Councils.
