Show Page Four - Sanpete Shopper - October NS board wants lower bid on proposed bus garage By Hollee Anderson MT. PLEASANT No action was taken on the proposed new district bus garage at the Oct. 9 school board meeting. It was reported that the site had been cleaned up but that the project was on hold because bid amounts were higher than anticipated. The board wanted to pursue other options to see if the cost of the building could be lowered. The board also discussed ways to save energy and operation cost in each school building. All buildings are being prepared for winter. The district will adhere to state busing policies. Exceptions will be made by the board and not bus drivers. According to the policy, students grades kindergarten through sixth may ride the bus if they live 1.5 miles from school. For students grades seventh through twelfth, the distance is two miles. Exceptions must be approved by the school board. Individual questions on busing and other policies should be referred to school board representatives. School board meetings are open to the public and those wishing to address the school board need to arrange a time MANTI DESTINY COMMITTEE presents Garden of Treasures under Temple Light video A narrative focusing on Major Historical Events sur- rounding Manti Temple Hill.
