Show ipMMpIMf Volume Ninety-Eig- Sanpete Co., Utah Christenson seeks third term GUNNISON J. Keller ng Commissioner. He has served nearly six years on the commission and is currently chairman. He also is a board member of the Association of Governments and the Economic Development District. During his terms as Sanpete the County Commissioner Six-Cou- Six-Cou- county started a eco- full-ti- nomic development office with a full-tidirector to help improve the countys economy. He was also involved in bringing the Central Utah Correctional Facility to the county and in getting the Nephi Interchange. He initiated an weed control program to more fully invoke the Forest Service, BLM, Division of Wildlife Resources, State Land of Forestry, etc., in a more progressive weed control program on state and federal lands within the county. The device, a TOM System, a computer which holds 115 periodicals in its memory, was possible by a $4,500 from the Utah Legisla- grant ture for media purposes. , fheM periodicals contain information which the students can get by calling it up on the computer. A list of periodicals is available for the students on any, topic, and can be received state mineral lease money and PILT from state properties, A farmer and livestock man, he has served on the Federal Land Bank Association v ' Board for 32 years. He is a former Sanpete County Farm Bureau president and is present a board member. He has served on the Gunnison Irrigation Board and is presently a board member of the Sanpete Cattlemens Association. He is a member and past president of the Gunnison Lions Club. Christenson graduated from Gunnison Valley High School and attended Utah State University and Brigham Young University. He is active in civic and church affairs. He and his wife, Marion, are the parents of five children, Dennis, Tim, Jed, Bruce, and Lori. by typing it into the computers index system.
