The two cousins are graduates of Manti High School and Snow College where they both played on championship teams. Todd is the son of LaMar and Merilyn Jorgensen of Manti and Tracy is the son of Kent and Barbara Jorgensen of Ephraim. Both are juniors at USU. Todd was the Number 1 singles and doubles player on the Aggie squad which played 22 matches from November 19 to May 3. In between the opener at BYU hnd the PCAA Tournament in Las Vegas, the blue and white played at schools such as New Mexico State, San Diego State, Montana State, Idaho State,' University of Redlands, the University of California at Fullerton, Lewis and Clark and the University of Utah. Despite the tough competition, Todd had his share of wins and his scores in losing efforts reflected a high-levplay. 5 For example, he lost a close match to the number 1 players at the University of Utah who were WAC champions this year and lost to division the number 1 ranked NA player from Washington, 4 in the third set. A natural doubles player, Todd won about 10 matches teaming with David Pigott and Laird Wash-burof Utah County. Tracy was the number six single player and teamed with a former Snow College teammate, Barry Pierson in doubles competition. Like Todd, Tracy had his share of victories including wins at Idaho State, Northwest Nazarene and at Lewis and Clark. He and Pierson won around fifty percent of their doubles matches. tennis and high school, Tracy said, In high school if you got a good serve to the backhand and rushed the net, the point was usually yours. r In tennis, the return was likely to come whistling down the line and past you. The Jorgensen cousins report that although some of the sports are under duress at Utah State financially, the Aggies have made a deeper commitment to keep tennis alive and strong. They have plans for a senes of new courts in the near future. The Aggie coach is Kirt Jensen Todd has a physical education major with a minor in French.
