Show 16, 1986 SEPTEMBER Obituary Enos Owen Hollobaugh Jr., 57, of Mountain View, Wyo., formerly of Layton, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986 at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Fay E. Thacker 'f He was born May 25, 1929 in Ogden, a son of Enos Owen and Elenor Barlow Hollobaugh Sr. He married Thelma Starkey April 10, 1956, in Layton. They were later divorced. He married Charlotte Peterson June 3, 1982 in Vernal. She died Sept. 28, 1985. He was reared and educated in Layton, and moved to Mountain View where he resided until his Y' Fay Elgie Thacker, 85, of 557 Maple, Clearfield, died Monday, Sept. 8, 986 at a Clearfield nursing home of a stroke. He was born Sept. 24, 1900, in Daniels, Utah, a son of John and Flia A. Winterton Thacker. He married Thaylia Watson on Oct. 10, 1923 in the Salt Lake LDS femple. He was reared and educated in Daniels where he lived for 22 years. He attended Utah State Agriculture College. He lived in Castle Gate for 52 tears and in Clearfield the past 12 death. He was an elder in the LDS Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War. tears. I and stake high priests for 15 years. He was bishop in Castle Gate. He was currently serving and had served as patriarch for 28 years. He was a member of the board of tiustees of Castle Gate and president of the town board. He was night foreman for the Castle Gate coal mine, retiring in 'Ml. Surviving are his widow of Clearfield, two sons and four daughters, Harry Fred Thacker, Nioenix, Ariz.; Fay Weldon hacker. Services were held Sept. 13 at the Clearfield 5th LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop Robert Spiers officiating. Interment in the Heber City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary. Ella Josephine Stoner Peters, 88, of 824 Elm, Layton, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 1986 in a Clearfield nursing home of causes incident to age. She was born April 22, 1898 in Chicago, 111., a daughter of Anton and Rose Stejr Stoner. She married John Milton Peters Jan 27, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio. He died May 8, 1965. She was reared and educated in Chicago. She had lived in Colorado, and in Layton with her son and daughter-in-laJohn J. and Twyla Peters, for the past 15 years. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Chicago. She was a member of the Protestant Church. Surviving are one son, John J. Peters, Layton; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services were held Sept. 9 at the Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Norris R. Nalder officiated at the services. Services were held Sept. 9 at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary with Bishop Richard Graehl offi- ciating. Interment was in the Kaysville City Cemetery. He married Virginia Crawford on 10, 1937 in Manti. He was a member of the Layton 80, of 1275 W. 700 S., Clearfield, died Tuesday, Sept. 9, 1986 at the Humana Hospital Davis North of heart failure. He was born April 7, 906 in Abi-quiNew Mexico, a son ofJerome and Antonia Chavez Sandoval. Joe O. Sandoval, 1 u, He married Sarah Velasquez Dec. 31, 1932 in Cortez, Colo. He was reared and educated in New Mexico. He moved to Clearfield in 1943, where he resided until his death. He graduated from high school in New Mexico. He had worked at the Naval Supply Depot and at the redistribution center at Hill Air Force Base. He was an avid sportsman, enjoying hunting and the outdoors. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. He was active in the Cursillo movement in the Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow of Clearfield, five sons and three Herold O. Sandoval, daughters, He was preceded in death by one Mrs. Gary (Bea) Larsen, Mrs. Sandaughter, one son and one dra R. Funeral directors, Lindquists Clearfield Mortuary. Girl Scouts seek members The school year has started once again, and so have Girl Scout troop activities. With the growing number of girls, more adult leaders are needed also. You neednt be a parent of a troop member. Single adults may help also, helping make the girl scouts one big happy family. If you can spare the time and share your interests, it will help the girls to grow to independent young women. Remember your assistance is needed, with training classes offered and help with troop activities. Other leaders are also willing to help you. He had been employed at the 2nd Street Army Depot and later transferred to Hill Air Force Base in H SO WI KIS 1941. He retired Aug. 13, 1976. He was a member of the Layton Aerie of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid bowler, golfer, hunter and fisherman. Evan Dykes Christensen, 73, of Valeria Drive, Layton, died Friday, Sept. 5, 1986 at the McKay-De- e Hospital from complications following surgery. He was born May 26, 1913 in Ephraim, a son of Neils P. and 906 Ella J. S. Mond, son of Sheldon J. Monk of Layton and Margeret N. Monk of Salt Lake City, has graduated from the defensive serial gunner combat crew training course at Castle Air Force Base, Calif. The course is designed to train airmen in the operational knowledge and techniques of employing aircraft defensive fire control systems and qualify the gunner as an aircrew member. In addition, graduates earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
