Show AUGUST 26, 1986 society wed Russell-Gree- n Heights happenings Tiffany Russell and Parnell E. Green were married Aug. 23 in Kaysville by Bishop Rasmussen. The couple was then honored at a garden reception at the home of the brides grandparents. The bride is the daughter of Steve and Karen Russell of 4 14 W. 100 N., Kaysville. Parents of the groom are Parnell and Kathy Green of Layton. Maid of honor was Kristine Green. Matthew Russell was the as ring bearer with Stacy Russell : Corp. YOUNGBERG ELDER BRETT WOOD Brett Wood, son of Glenn and Donna Wood , has received a call to serve in the Alaska, Anchorage Mission. His missionary farewell will be held Aug. 31 at 12:15 p.m. at the Farmington Stake House, 675 S. 200 E. There will be an open house for family and friends following the farewell at Bretts home at 307 E. 650 S. He will enter the MTC on Sept. 10. Brett is a 1985 graduate of Davis High School and LDS Seminary. He also is an Eagle Scout. He has been employed at Dicks Market and Hardware. TIFFANY RUSSELL AND PARNELL GREEN To serve in Canada Elder D. William Shunn, son of Dr. and Mrs. Donald and Ann Shunn of Kaysville, has received a call from the LDS Church to serve in the Canada Calgary Mission. He reports to the Mission Training Center on Sept. 3. Prior to his departure, Elder Shunn will address the Kaysville 12th Ward in a meeting held Aug. 31 at 1:45 p.m. in the Crestwood Chapel at 1039 E. Crestwood Road, Kaysville. Friends are invited to the Shunn home at 829 E. Westbrook Road, Kaysville, for an open house immediately following the church service. Elder Shunn, an Eagle scout, was a 1984 high honor graduate of Davis High School, where he served as of the school Michael Merrill Youngberg, son of Richard M. and Gerry D. Youngberg, has been called to serve in the LDS Oklahoma, Tulsa Mission. He will enterthe Missionary Training Center Sept. 17. A missionary farewell will be held in the Kaysville 4th Ward, 900 E. 200 N., Kaysville, at 3:15 p.m. Aug. 31. An open house will be held at his parents home, 664 E. Oak Lane following the meeting. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. Mike graduated from Davis High School and LDS Seminary. ELDER BOYD C. BREWER Boyd C. Brewer, son of Peggy Brewer and the late Ivan Gene Brewer of Kaysville, will be honored at a missionary homecoming Sunday, Aug. 31, at 10:30 a.m. in the Kaysville 17th Ward, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-da- y Saints. The chapel is located at 875 E. 200 N Kaysville. Boyd has completed a successful two-yemission to Roanoke, Virginia. ar a busy summer with their grandchildren. Their daughter, Valerie just had a new son, making this six children for she and her husband. Mrs. Clara Krebs and her daughter, Mrs. Geri Brown and children of Logan spent five days in St. George attending the Barlocher reunion. They visited relatives and went sightseeing. He was also a Sterling Scholar in English and a National Merit Scholarship Finalist. Shunn is currently a senior at the University of Utah, where he attends school on a Presidents Scholarship. He is also a graduate of the prestigious Clarion Workshop in Science Fiction and Fantasy Writing, held annually at Michigan State University, and currently writes a bimonthly column for Clarion Magazine, an amateur press publication concerned with science fiction. Shunn has worked as a cabinetmaker and a computer programmer, and currently serves his ward as assistant organist. ANGELA ANDERSON Engaged Angela Anderson and James H. Wagstafif are planning a Sept. 10 wedding in the Salt Lake Temple. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Anderson of Farmington and Mr. and Mrs. H.R. WagstaJT of Salt Lake City. Angela graduated from Davis High and attended BYU and Utah Tech in Orem. James graduated from Skyline High and served a Mission to Arkansas. He studied at Utah Tech in Orem for two years. J. Jeff is the son of Jay and Pat Sampson. al cfllSfi 4-- H EXCHANGE STUDENT from Japan Hiromasa Kasey, Chowmos, left, and Dee Valentine. The Lynn Valentine family is his host. Exchange student fits in LAYTON - There was nothing unusual about the appearance of Dee Valentine, Clint Chournos and Hiromasa Kasey riding bikes along Antelope Drive near the Valentine home. They appeared to be three teenage boys enjoying a typical summer activity. The only difference between these boys and other youne people in Layton doing the same thing is Hiromasa Kasey. Although he appears as American as the other two boys, Hiromasa is a visitor from Chiba, Japan, a small city near Tokyo. He speaks very little English but he participates and enjoys the same activities as Dee and Clint. -- Hiromasa is a Utrek student who came to Utah under joint sponsorship of Utrek and the program. He is one of thirteen Japanese students who are staying with host 4-- H families in Davis and Morgan coun- - ties. Lynn and Dee Ann Valentine of Layton are the host family for Hiromasa. During his k stay in has old Hiromasa year Layton, enjoyed camping, fishing in the Uintahs and on the Weber River, horseback riding, swimming and shopping for presents he can take to his family and friends in Japan. Although he speaks little English, Hiromasa understands the message of kindness the Valentine family has extended to him.
